Dear [fname],
The 2009 Stockholm, Sweden marathon donations results are in, and although we were in a very bad recession, we were able to raise $7,236.20 for kidney cancer research in memory of my brother John. Because of the generosity of 948 donors from 27 US States and 1 foreign country the 11-year total raised for kidney cancer research is now at $72,336.92. We are now only $2,663.08 away from meeting our next major donation milestone of $75,000.00.
On September 20, 2010 I will be traveling 9,974 miles to Capetown, South Africa to run my 12th worldwide marathon, and my 6th continent, for kidney cancer research. I am happy to report that I will be traveling with my good friends Larry and Louise Williams who will also be running the marathon with me. I am looking forward to the challenge of finishing the September 26th Capetown marathon at the “young” age of 74.

50 US States Kidney Cancer Awareness Challenge Update:
One of the challenges that we will have over the next 36 months is to bring kidney cancer awareness to all of the 50 US States. If we are to meet this challenge we need to receive donations from the 23 US States that have not donated. I believe the challenge will be met if each of us contacts someone they know in the Red states and let them know about the efforts that we are making to help in finding a cure for this deadly disease. To help me track our efforts I have brought back my copyrighted cartoon of my “USMC Boot Camp Drill Instructor” – he is retired now so he no longer wears his uniform. He will be standing guard every month until we meet the challenge - he will smile once we meet the challenge.
The 23 US States that have not donated are in RED.
The 27 US States that have donated are in GREEN.

I would not be able to publish my monthly newsletters without the very creative Graphic design work of Christian Riggs, President of Riggs Creative Group. Christian has not only given his time and design expertise to the newsletter but he also designed and maintains my website.
Listed below are my corporate sponsors who have generously donated their “Best in Class” products and services to help me meet my mission. Without their generous support it would be very difficult for me to continue my mission.
Have a great day,
Bob Rebello
